Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Vineyard Worker to join our team. This role involves hands-on work in vineyard management, supporting the cultivation and maintenance of grapevines to ensure high-quality fruit production. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and an interest in horticulture and farm operations. Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, pruning, and trellising grapevines to promote healthy growth
- Perform irrigation tasks, including setting up and maintaining watering systems
- Conduct routine maintenance of equipment, including farm machinery, power tools, and hand tools
- Support pest management and disease control measures as needed
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as soil preparation and harvest assistance
- Use hand tools for various vineyard activities such as tying, thinning, and harvesting grapes
- Monitor vine health and growth stages, recording observations accurately using basic math skills
- Assist with vineyard clean-up and organization to maintain a safe working environment
- Support seasonal activities such as harvest and post-harvest cleanup
Experience
- Prior experience with horticulture or farming is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific vineyard practices
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with farm machinery is a plus
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and basic maintenance tasks is advantageous
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely is desirable
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking is essential
- Basic math skills for measurements, data recording, and calculations related to vineyard management
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adhere to safety protocols
