ALPINE SPA COVERS is the largest manufacturer of hot tub covers in western Canada. We are a growing company that is looking to add to our fantastic production team - and we are offering competitive wages/production incentives/benefits.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and physically capable Textile Cutting Assistant for this to assist with operation of our state-of-the-art automated fabric cutting system. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production efficiency and quality by managing the cutting process and organizing fabric pieces for timely delivery to the sewing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling fabric/textile racking by lifting rolls (60-80lbs) above shoulder level to stock the racking.
- Operate and monitor automated fabric cutting equipment to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Inspect cut fabric pieces for quality and accuracy against specifications.
- Sort, label, and prepare fabric components for organized disbursement to the sewing department.
- Assist with other department production tasks as-and-when-required
- Collaborate with team members in production and quality control to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- Ability to understand and follow detailed work instructions and production layouts.
- Able to lift, move, and handle fabric rolls (+50 lbs) throughout the day and cut pieces as needed .
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Prior experience in textile manufacturing, fabric handling, or a similar environment is preferred.
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
