Your Role as a Support Worker
As a Support Worker, you will support individuals with intellectual disabilities in their home and community. You will help create safe, respectful, and engaging daily routines while promoting independence, choice, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care support, including grooming, dressing, bathing, mobility support, and other daily living needs, as required
- Support medication routines in accordance with policy and direction
- Assist with household tasks and meal preparation
- Encourage participation in home- and community-based activities that reflect individual interests and goals
- Build respectful and supportive relationships with individuals, families, and the broader support team
- Maintain clear, accurate, and timely documentation
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
Personal Care and Privacy
This role includes providing personal care.
Required Certifications and Documents
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Current Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screen, completed within the last six months
- Adult Abuse Registry Check and Child Abuse Registry Check, completed within the last six months
- Current Driver’s Abstract
- Valid Manitoba Class 5F Driver’s Licence
- Access to a reliable vehicle for use during all shifts
Education and Experience
- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities is an asset, but not required
- Training will be provided to applicants who demonstrate the right attitude, reliability, and commitment to ethical care

Work Location and Schedule Expectations
This position has a primary assigned location. Hours, duties, and worksite assignments may be adjusted from time to time to meet operational, client care, and funding requirements.
Work schedules are established during the hiring process. Applicants must be able to work their assigned schedule and remain flexible to support operational requirements.

Pay: $17.83-$19.88 per hour
