Position Title: Cleaner
LOCATION: Cambridge Bay, Nunavut
START DATE: ASAP
PURPOSE
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Cleaner is responsible for a variety of cleaning contracts.
SCOPE
The Cleaner is responsible for the safe and efficient cleaning of multiple buildings. They will also ensure that accurate and timely information regarding supplies, tools and time are provided and recorded as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cleaner is required to:
- operate as a team member in a cross cultural work environment.
- follow all required safety procedures.
- Has experience cleaning office buildings.
- Has experience operating vacuums
- Can do physical, manual work for 10-12 hours a day.
- Practices good housekeeping to keep the workplace & vehicles clean and orderly.
- Provides information to the manager so that the required forms can be generated in timely manner and are accurately recorded.
- Other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills & Knowledge:
· Familiarity with the process of cleaning offices, hotels, and childcare centers
Education & Qualifications:
- Able to get a Reliability Status Clearance with the Federal Government (If you have a criminal record, have declared bankruptcy, or are not a Canadian Citizen, you will not be eligible for a clearance).
- Is Bondable.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Current WHIMIS
- Current Fall Arrest
Experience:
- Two or more years overall experience doing cleaning
WORKING CONDITIONS
The successful candidate will be expected to work 10-12 hour shifts while on site, on a rotational basis.
Camp accommodation and transportation are provided.
Wages and benefits will be based on experience.
Some heavy lifting may be required.

Pay: $22.00-$24.50 per hour
