Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Accounts & Finance professional to lead our company's financial planning, management, and growth initiatives. The AFM will oversee all financial activities, ensure fiscal responsibility, and support executive decision-making. This role requires a dynamic leader with strong expertise in corporate finance, risk management, and business development to drive the organization’s financial health and long-term success. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, leadership qualities, and a comprehensive understanding of financial services and accounting principles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals to promote growth and stability.
- Oversee budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Lead accounting functions, including account reconciliation, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage risk assessment protocols to identify potential financial threats and develop mitigation plans.
- Negotiate contracts, financing arrangements, and partnerships to support business expansion efforts.
- Drive business development initiatives by analyzing market trends and identifying new revenue opportunities.
- Provide leadership to finance teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure organizational alignment on financial objectives.
- Monitor industry developments in financial services to maintain a competitive advantage.
- Prepare detailed reports for executive leadership and board members on financial performance and strategic recommendations.
Skills Required
- Chartered Professional Accountant
- Knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks and other artificial intelligence tools
- Professional business attire and interpersonal skills to act as a mentor and role model.
Experience
- Proven experience as an AFM or in financial leadership roles in a private career college.
- Extensive background in corporate finance, accounting, risk management, and business development.
- Demonstrated success in negotiation, sales strategies, and building strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under pressure.
- Experience leading teams through change management initiatives and fostering a high-performance environment.
- Knowledge of account reconciliation processes, budgeting techniques, and financial compliance standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly to diverse audiences.
