Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a full-time continuing Line Cook position commencing June 29, 2026. Some evening and weekend work may be required as well as some offsite work. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff, Level 04: $1,953.70 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.

Duties: To prepare a variety of food items for cafeteria, café, catering for staff, students, clients and the general public while ensuring Food Safe, Food Sanitation and Safety Plans are met, performs duties in a manner that creates a positive service experience for all Food Services customers.
Key components of the role may include, but are not limited to:

Prepare food items as required and in accordance with kitchen duty check lists, Food Safe Food Sanitation and Safety Plans

Open/close cafeteria as required and prioritize daily work tasks in accordance with established duty check lists and procedures

Ensure food station is setup and maintained following proper Food Safe guidelines and Food Sanitation and Safety Plans

Interact with customers using customer service skills in short order/catering settings as required.
- Support all Food Service functions

Assist with receiving and validating deliveries of food items and supplies, check for damage, quantity and quality, store in appropriate areas using Food Safe guidelines

Setup, operate, cash out till as required

Operate catering vehicles as required for food pickup, delivery, etc. including transportation of staff, students as required

Utilize Catering Calendar to ensure successful preparation and delivery of catering/food service events

Operate kitchen equipment (dishwashers, deep fryers, grills, ovens, etc.) and use slicers, choppers, and a variety of kitchen knives with speed and repetitive motion to prepare food items

Maintain cleaning supplies and perform general kitchen cleaning duties
