Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for mobility equipment repair. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring that all repairs are performed to the highest standards. This role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within our locations environment.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair mobility scooter systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance / site checks tasks such as mobility scooters, pwc's, manual wheelchairs, stairlifts, vpl's
- Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
- Communicate with customers regarding repair needs, providing clear explanations of services rendered.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely and efficiently.
- Lift heavy components as required during repairs while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in repair or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Working with seniors
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary for vehicle repairs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license is required.
