Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Brake Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining press brake machines to produce high-quality metal components. This role requires mechanical aptitude, precision, and adherence to safety standards to ensure efficient production and product integrity.
Duties
- Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to specifications and blueprints
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine machine settings and tooling requirements
- Set up and adjust machinery, including CNC programming when applicable, to meet production goals
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, gauges, and other hand tools to ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes involving machined components
- Utilize additional manufacturing equipment such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machines, cranes, forklifts, and hand tools as needed for material handling and fabrication tasks
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during operation
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical knowledge of CNC programming, CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, welding, machining processes, and blueprint reading
- Ability to use calipers, hand tools, and perform quality inspections with precision
- Familiarity with cranes and forklifts for material handling is a plus
- Basic math skills necessary for measuring and setting machine parameters
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience with assembly processes is advantageous
- Ability to work safely following all safety procedures and guidelines
Pay: $19.06-$25.00 per hour
