Position Summary
The Pest Control Technician is responsible for independently inspecting client properties, identifying pest activity, delivering pest management services in accordance with regulatory requirements, and providing professional guidance to customers. This role requires a candidate who can hit the ground running with minimal onboarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently inspect residential and commercial properties to identify pest activity, entry points, and contributing conditions
- Deliver pest control services using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles, applying sound judgment on treatment selection and application
- Prepare, handle, and apply pest control products in accordance with product labels, Ministry of the Environment regulations, and company safety procedures
- Diagnose and resolve complex or recurring pest issues with minimal supervision
- Educate clients on treatment plans, preventative measures, and follow-up recommendations, building long-term client trust
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly
- Mentor and support junior technicians or trainees as needed
Requirements
- Valid Ontario Exterminator License (Structural) in good standing — required
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on pest control experience in a licensed capacity
- Strong working knowledge of IPM principles and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a route/schedule
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Valid Ontario G-class driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the role

- Compensation Range: The expected salary range for this opportunity is $50,000-$60,000 CAD per year.
