Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and a proven track record in automotive repair and sales. This role requires effective leadership to manage a team of technicians and service advisors while driving service sales and enhancing operational efficiency.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring high-quality automotive repairs and maintenance while growing department profitability..
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly.
- Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure timely completion of work.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate service staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Implement upselling strategies for additional services and products to maximize revenue.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and store policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve overall dealership performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an automotive service management role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose automotive issues effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building lasting relationships with clients.
- Experience in upselling services and products in an automotive setting.
- Proficient in cash handling and financial transactions related to service operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes, tools, and equipment is essential.
- A valid driver's license is required.
