We are currently recruiting for a Help desk and Application Support to join a very busy Information Technology Department and has the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Applicants must be detail-oriented with excellent analytic and communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the overall success of the Firm. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working within a team. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
· Providing day-to-day helpdesk support and resolving problems to the end user’s satisfaction with regards to software, hardware, mobile devices, and network connectivity. Documenting internal procedures.
· Monitoring and responding quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk ticketing system. Reporting issues to the Service Desk for escalation.
· Identifying and troubleshooting any hardware and fundamental software configuration problems. Planning and carrying out software and hardware upgrades.
· Performing timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required. Modifying configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation. Installing, testing, and configuring new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
· Assisting with onboarding of new users. Managing PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images, and software.
· Assigning users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory.
· Basic web development skills (HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, CSS)
· Experience with Citrix XenApp, DUO2FA, VPN
· Experience working with Windows server
· Work both independently, and with other members of the Application Team
· Provide technical support for all applications in a desktop computing environment
· Ensure assigned applications are running error free
· Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
Qualifications:
· 2 years of relevant technical experience.
· Previous helpdesk support experience in a mid to large-sized organization an asset.
· Background in professional level customer service.
· Clear, concise, and effective communication skills, both over the phone and in person.
· Strong problem solving skills; able to handle multiple tasks effectively.
· Ability to quickly learn new technologies to execute business objectives
· Good all-round technical skills
This is a full time in office role with the requirement of evening and weekend on-call one week per month.
