Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide recommendations to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties with precision, including processing payments and giving change
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service for all guests
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns professionally, demonstrating excellent customer service skills at all times
- Assist in food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support overall restaurant operations
- Practice proper food safety protocols and sanitation procedures throughout your shift
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of the food industry standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order entry and cashiering functions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations within a restaurant setting
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and transaction accuracy
- Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and serve guests seamlessly
- Demonstrated hospitality mindset with a focus on creating welcoming guest experiences
