Overview
Ultra-Lite Doors is seeking a dynamic and experienced Department Manager to lead our Hollow Metal Division, specializing in Division 8 and 10 products, including manufacturing and supplier based goods. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee manufacturing operations, drive process improvements, and ensure the delivery of high-quality hollow metal products.
As a key leader within the organization, you will be responsible for managing sales teams, production teams, controlling and optimizing workflows, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your expertise in the industry that includes manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and product knowledge will be instrumental in achieving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements
- Must have 10+ years experience in the hollow metal, division 8/10, industry.
- Must have 5+ years managerial experience in the hollow metal, division 8/10, industry.
- Must have drivers' license.

Responsibilities
- Promote a healthy team environment, offer guidance, and foster growth to everyone.
- Work with suppliers and vendors, control purchase orders, matched with sales orders, and finalize payment through accounting department.
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of the hollow metal manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met or exceeded.
- Develop and implement process improvements utilizing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Oversee inventory management and supply chain logistics to ensure timely procurement of materials and optimal stock levels.
- Utilize our company ERP system, Sage 100, for order creation and invoicing/backorder tracking.
- Plan production schedules, monitor material requirements planning (MRP), and track key performance indicators.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing best practices across departments.
- Manage personnel including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a motivated team environment focused on safety, accountability, and growth.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments involving assembly of hollow metal products.
- Experience with quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams while promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and innovation.

Pay: $90,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
