Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational efficiency. This role requires a strong mechanical background, electrical experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. The Millwright will play a vital part in maintaining the safety, reliability, and performance of our industrial systems and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, align, dismantle, and troubleshoot industrial machinery and equipment using precision tools and techniques
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for accurate repairs and installations
- Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for troubleshooting automation systems
- Maintain records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs, as well as some welding and fabricating work as needed
- Diagnose issues related to industrial electrical systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures during all maintenance activities
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to improve processes and equipment reliability
- Provide excellent feedback to production and shipping teams to meet requirements
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance and manufacturing environments
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, welding, low voltage electrical work, and electrical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of industrial electrician practices and safety standards
- Ability to analyze complex mechanical or electrical issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork
- Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced industrial settings
Pay: $30.50-$42.50 per hour
