General Labourer
As a precast concrete worker, you will be required to pour concrete into the molds. You will monitor the process, and when the cast is ready, you will remove it from the mold to be cured and processed. You will be required to install rebar to reinforce the concrete products. Other responsibilities include finishing concrete, cleaning and maintaining your equipment and tools and moving concrete molds around the plant with loaders and forklifts.

What you will do
- Work in an organized and safe working environment in accordance to the Occupational Health & Safety Act and company policies
- Operate specialized concrete fabrication equipment including, overhead crane, forklift/loader and other various power tools
- Assemble hardware according to procedures and drawing specifications
- Load precast concrete components using proper stacking methods
- Install cages and pull strand before tensioning
- Place, vibrate and finish concrete
Skills we are seeking
- Fast paced, physically demanding work environment (similar to a construction site)
- Repetitive work with some heavy lifting
- Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80lbs
- Operate equipment to move product
- Set up, adjust and operate single function machines to mix, drill, grind and cut concrete
- Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in molds and fill molds with concrete
- Remove casting from mold and finish surface of casting using screened or trowel
- Keeping site clean and free from obstacles and hazards
- Load or unload trucks
- Follow instructions from supervisors
- Other duties as required

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
