Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective medication management, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations within our facility. Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, adhering to all legal and safety regulations
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, including usage instructions and potential side effects
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans for patient populations
- Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust treatments as necessary in coordination with medical staff
- Maintain detailed and accurate pharmacy records, including medication inventories and patient profiles
- Oversee the preparation of compounded medications when required
- Participate in the pharmacy vaccination program
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license in Ontario and in good standing with OCP
- Korean or Tagalog is a strong asset as a second language
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and patient care standards
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education
- Ability to interpret prescriptions accurately and manage complex medication regimens
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, confidentiality, and professional ethics
Pay: $48.00-$58.00 per hour
