We are currently supporting a major international retail organization in the search for a Bilingual HR Business Partner Manager to support both retail operations and corporate teams across Canada. This role will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, driving people initiatives aligned with operational and organizational goals.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting large retail populations within a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership and retail management teams to support business and people strategies
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, succession planning, and talent development
- Support recruitment, workforce planning, and organizational design initiatives
- Drive employee engagement and retention strategies across retail locations
- Coach leaders on HR best practices, leadership development, and change management
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal company policies
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Learning & Development, and Employee Relations teams
- Support new store openings, operational growth, and organizational transformation initiatives
Qualifications
- 8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a large retail or multi-site environment
- Fully bilingual in French and English
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder management experience
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
- Proven ability to support large operational teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- CHRP/CHRL designation considered an asset
