Gagnon Overhead Door Ltd. is seeking a motivated, dependable, and safety-conscious Garage Door Technician to join our team. Experience in the garage door industry is considered an asset but is not required, as we are willing to train the right candidate.
The successful candidate will install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial overhead doors and related products while providing exceptional customer service. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and working in a team environment, we'd like to hear from you.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and service residential and commercial overhead doors and garage door openers.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on garage door systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and complete repairs safely and efficiently.
- Safely operate hand and power tools required for installations and repairs.
- Accurately measure, assemble, and install door systems and components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding work performed and answer any questions.
- Complete required job documentation accurately.
- Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in the garage door industry is considered an asset but is not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Motivated, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 New Brunswick driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Scissor Lift certification is considered an asset.
- Fall Arrest certification is considered an asset.
- WHMIS certification is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay: $21.00-$31.00 per hour

- Garage door service/install: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- class 5 NB license (required)
