Responsibilities
- Clean, sterilize, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Operate sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, ensuring proper functioning and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory of supplies.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and receptionists to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist in the training of new staff on sterilization procedures and safety protocols.
- Stay updated on best practices in sterilization techniques and medical terminology.
- Reprocess and fold clean surgical gowns.
Skills
- Proficiency in ClearDent or similar dental software is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in dental assisting is advantageous.
- Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and patients.
