What You'll Do
As a BAS Specialist, you'll gain experience across every phase of a project while working with experienced mentors.
Field & Commissioning
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of Building Automation Systems
- Support technicians and Project Managers on active construction sites
- Troubleshoot control systems and software
- Perform service work and customer support visits
- Coordinate and deliver project materials when required
Design & Engineering
- Review mechanical drawings and project specifications
- Assist with the design of BAS control systems
- Prepare shop drawings and update as-built documentation
- Learn how mechanical systems and controls work together
Programming & Graphics
- Assist with programming BAS controllers
- Create and modify graphical user interfaces
- Test control sequences
- Verify system operation during commissioning

Qualifications
We're more interested in attitude and aptitude than experience.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Electrical Engineering Technology
- HVAC Technology
- Building Automation
- Instrumentation
- Mechatronics
- Skilled trades or related technical experience
Also beneficial:
- Basic knowledge of HVAC or mechanical systems
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Networking or IT knowledge
- Experience reading technical drawings
No prior BAS experience is required. We provide the training.

Responsibilities
On-site Support
- Support installation crews with the installation and commissioning of projects
- Performing service calls for customers to troubleshoot BAS and software issues
- Deliver parts and materials as they are required
Engineering and Design
- Review mechanical drawings and project specifications
- Support Project Managers with the design of BAS systems
- Support the completion of Shop Drawings and As-Built documentation
Programming & Graphics
- Support Project Managers in programming BAS systems
- Support Project Managers in the creation of graphical interfaces for the BAS system
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of mechanical or BAS systems
- A strong desire to develop and learn
- Has demonstrated a history of self-learning and self-improvement
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Knowledge of IT systems is a plus but not required
- A degree or certificate in mechanical systems, building automation, electrical systems or a related field is a plus but not mandatory
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
