Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of all pool visitors. The ideal candidate will be trained in water rescue techniques and possess strong swimming skills. This role involves monitoring swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and providing assistance in emergency situations to prevent accidents and injuries. The Lifeguard will contribute to creating a safe, enjoyable environment for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Constantly monitor swimming areas to observe swimmer behavior and enforce safety regulations
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including water rescues and administering first aid when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized pool environment, including inspecting safety equipment regularly
- Educate guests on pool rules and safety guidelines to promote responsible behavior
- Conduct routine safety checks of the pool area, including lifeguard stations and rescue equipment
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the pool facility as needed
- Heavy lifting may be required for setting up or maintaining pool equipment and supplies
Experience
- Prior experience as a lifeguard or in a similar role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Must demonstrate strong swimming abilities and comfort in water rescue scenarios
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to equipment setup or maintenance is desirable
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training is a plus but can be obtained upon hire if necessary
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
