We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry and construction, with the ability to read blueprints and execute projects with precision. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard
- Assemble furniture and cabinetry according to design specifications
- Install roofing systems, ensuring proper sealing and insulation
- Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps in structures
- Restore existing structures by repairing or replacing damaged components
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Experience
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read blueprints accurately is essential
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks
