About the Position
Sure-Form is hiring an experienced Underground Pipe Installer / Construction Labourer for the Ridgevalley Wastewater Upgrade Project.
This is a temporary, full-time position expected to continue for the remainder of the summer construction season. We are primarily looking for candidates who live in Ridgevalley, Grande Prairie, Valleyview, or the surrounding area and can reliably commute to the project.
The successful candidate must have previous underground pipe installation experience and be willing to complete a wide range of hands-on civil construction tasks. We are looking for someone who is dependable, works hard, takes direction, and is willing to help wherever required.
Responsibilities
- Install underground water, wastewater, and utility piping
- Assist with pipe bedding, alignment, jointing, fittings, and connections
- Install valves, manholes, and related underground infrastructure
- Work safely in and around excavations, trenches, shoring, and heavy equipment
- Assist with excavation, backfill, compaction, grading, and site preparation
- Operate skid steers, packers, loaders, excavators, or other equipment based on experience and demonstrated competency
- Complete hand excavation, material handling, site cleanup, and general labour duties
- Assist other crew members and trades as required
- Follow all company and project-specific safety requirements
- Complete additional construction-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous underground pipe installation experience is required
- Experience with PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, concrete, or similar piping systems is an asset
- Previous civil, municipal, water, wastewater, or underground utility construction experience
- Basic understanding of pipe grades, slopes, elevations, and alignment
- Equipment operating experience is considered a strong asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Physically capable of performing labour-intensive work outdoors
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a crew
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to complete a variety of tasks
CSTS, Ground Disturbance, First Aid, Confined Space, and WHMIS certifications are considered assets.

This position is best suited for someone with practical underground piping experience who is also willing to perform general labour and support the crew wherever needed. This is not an equipment-operator-only position.
