Position Overview
In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the design and preparation of engineering design drawings including stormwater management and constructions reviews.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Assist in the development of detailed civil engineering designs for a variety of projects, including roadways, site grading, drainage systems, municipal servicing, and stormwater management facilities
- Prepare engineering designs and layouts for sanitary sewer, storm sewer, watermain, and stormwater management systems in accordance with applicable standards, guidelines, and regulations
- Complete design calculations related to servicing capacity, pipe sizing, flows, storage requirements, and other supporting analyses
- Utilize Civil 3D and other design software to produce accurate drawings, models, profiles, and plan sets suitable for submissions and construction
- Prepare and revise engineering drawings based on markups, design changes, and internal quality control reviews
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including functional servicing reports, stormwater management reports, design briefs, and technical letters
- Review and interpret survey data, geotechnical reports, and background studies to support engineering design decisions
- Assist with ensuring designs comply with municipal, provincial, and regulatory standards and guidelines
- Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other technical staff to ensure designs meet project objectives and client requirements
- Coordinate design information with other disciplines, including surveying, geotechnical, and environmental teams, as required
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Basic knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and follow technical direction
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions
- Work will be performed in office and occasional field visits may be required

Pay: $65,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
