As we continue to grow our GTA fleet, we are looking for a Fleet Operations Coordinator to become a key member of our operations team. This position offers a private a collaborative work environment, and the opportunity to play a vital role in the day-to-day success of our business.

Position Overview
The Fleet Operations Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing daily dispatch activities, supporting driver management initiatives, and coordinating fleet maintenance requirements. This role is ideal for an organized, proactive transportation professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong relationships with drivers, customers, and service providers.
Typical Allocation of Responsibilities
- Dispatch & Transportation Management – 70%
- Driver Management & Support – 20%
- Fleet Maintenance Coordination – 10%
Dispatch & Transportation Management (70%)
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities for a fleet of approximately 25 trucks.
- Plan and assign loads to maximize fleet utilization and efficiency.
- Monitor deliveries and pickups to ensure on-time service performance.
- Communicate shipment status updates with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Optimize routes and scheduling to reduce empty miles and improve profitability.
- Resolve operational issues, delays, and service disruptions as they arise.
- Coordinate load coverage, equipment availability, and driver assignments.
- Maintain dispatch records and operational reporting.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Driver Management & Support (20%)
- Act as the primary point of contact for company drivers.
- Foster positive driver relationships and contribute to a strong company culture.
- Assist with driver onboarding and orientation processes.
- Monitor driver performance, productivity, and compliance.
- Support driver scheduling, vacation requests, and coverage planning.
- Ensure compliance with Hours of Service regulations and ELD requirements.
- Address driver concerns professionally and promptly.
- Promote safe operating practices and company policies.
Fleet Maintenance Coordination (10%)
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules for tractors and trailers.
- Schedule repairs and service appointments with vendors and maintenance providers.
- Track maintenance records, inspections, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor equipment downtime and communicate repair status updates.
- Assist in managing maintenance costs and service documentation.
- Ensure fleet equipment remains compliant with all regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation dispatch, fleet operations, or logistics coordination.
- Strong understanding of trucking and freight transportation operations.
- Knowledge of Canadian Hours of Service regulations and ELD systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred:
- Experience managing drivers and fleet maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and fleet tracking software.
- Knowledge of Ontario and Canadian transportation regulations.
- Experience working with owner-operators and company drivers.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
