Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Roller Operator/Labourer to join our paving team. This role involves operating heavy machinery and assisting with various paving jobs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, and experience in construction environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment operation while contributing to quality infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate asphalt rollers safely and efficiently to ensure proper compaction of asphalt surfaces.
- Support paving operations by handling materials, setting up work zones, and maintaining equipment.
- Perform manual labour such as loading materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting paving crew.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction standards to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Experience
- Prior experience with asphalt rollers and paving operations, preferred but willing to train the ideal candidate.
- Commercial driving experience or valid licenses are a plus but not mandatory.
- Candidates should demonstrate physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks in outdoor settings .
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
