This 8-weeks job offers an excellent opportunity for students pursuing careers in civil, mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering to gain practical experience in construction inspection, project management, and technical drafting. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a foundational understanding of engineering principles and construction processes. This paid internship is designed to provide valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment, fostering professional growth and skill development.
Responsibilities
- Assist with construction inspection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Contribute to the development of technical presentations and reports utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Participate in project planning sessions, contributing ideas related to lean manufacturing principles and process improvements.
- Assist with construction inspection tasks including site assessments and quality control checks.
- Contribute to maintaining organized project files and documentation for efficient workflow management.
- Engage in safety protocols and participate in site safety meetings to promote a secure working environment.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student pursuing studies in Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills in English;
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, construction processes, and industry standards.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong analysis skills with attention to detail; ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively within deadlines.
- Previous experience in construction inspection or manufacturing environments is beneficial but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
