Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, and possess mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues. Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse
- Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems (WMS) to fulfill customer orders
- Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and maintaining proper storage procedures
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure safety and operational efficiency
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary
- Follow safety protocols for heavy lifting and warehouse operations to prevent accidents or injuries
- Support warehouse distribution activities by efficiently managing the flow of goods in a timely manner
- Use basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and verifying quantities during order picking
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and inventory management systems (WMS)
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on forklift equipment
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy lifting and warehouse operations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and order verification
- Prior experience in warehouse management or distribution centers is preferred but not required
- Valid certification or licensing for forklift operation is highly desirable

Pay: $21.00 per hour
