Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or technical sales are a plus, as you will assist customers with product inquiries, demos, and upselling opportunities to enhance their shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and credit transactions
- Manage cashier duties including processing payments, issuing receipts, and balancing registers
- Assist customers with product demonstrations and provide detailed information on merchandise
- Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the sales floor is tidy and inviting
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clear communication
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure efficient checkout processes during busy periodsQualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to operate POS systems and familiarity with retail technology tools (POS, product demos)
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities (English required) are highly desirable
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment
- Knowledge of merchandising principles and upselling techniques is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team while maintaining a positive attitude
- Flexibility to work during store hours, including weekends if needed
