We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join our leadership team. Position Summary
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis activities across the organization. The successful candidate will provide financial insights that support executive decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term growth initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting process and develop rolling forecasts across multiple business functions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and performance analyses.
- Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, growth initiatives, and investment decisions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into operational and financial performance.
- Partner with department leaders to evaluate business opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and improve profitability.
- Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts.
- Support cash flow forecasting and financial risk assessment activities.
- Assist with financial due diligence, business cases, and strategic projects.
- Improve financial reporting processes, systems, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
- Support audit processes and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards.
- Prepare presentations and financial summaries for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement within finance operations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to finance team members as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA designation (or progress toward designation) is considered a strong asset.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or financial management.
- Experience working within a technology, software, SaaS, or high-growth business environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and performance management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Experience with ERP systems, financial software, and business intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business insights.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
