We are looking for an experienced, dependable Truck Dispatcher to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is organized, communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for coordinating drivers, planning routes, monitoring deliveries, and ensuring freight is moved safely and on schedule while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
● Dispatch and coordinate drivers for local and long-haul loads.
● Plan efficient routes and schedules to maximize productivity.
● Communicate with drivers throughout the day to provide updates and resolve issues.
● Monitor load status and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries.
● Coordinate with customers, brokers, and warehouse personnel.
● Maintain accurate dispatch records and transportation documentation.
● Respond quickly to delays, breakdowns, or schedule changes.
● Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
● Previous truck dispatching or transportation/logistics experience preferred.
● Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
● Experience using dispatch or transportation management software is an asset.
● Knowledge of hours-of-service regulations is preferred.
● Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
