REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSE

Starting Hourly rate: $30.34
Our new and enhanced Registered Practical Nurse staffing model ensures a partnered care approach with our goal of two RPNs in each 32-bed resident home area, in addition to a full complement of Personal Support Workers and Behaviour Support Care Assistants. This model, in conjunction with our standard of two Registered Nurses on each shift for 128 beds, offers a supportive team environment and an optimum level of resident care hours per day. In our home, the Registered Practical Nurses plan, assess, supervise and deliver direct nursing care for residents in accordance with their plans of care and established policies and procedures. They are responsible for front-line resident care and medication administration, and participate as part of a dynamic interprofessional team.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Registered Practical Nurse Diploma
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current CPR certification
- French Language Service Designation: Bilingualism, English and French, is required. In accordance with its designation under the French Language Services Act, if no bilingual candidates (both internal and external) meet the qualifications of the position, unilingual English-speaking candidates may be considered.
