Job Overview
Shoreline Orthodontics is excited to add a Practice Manager for our Nanaimo and Duncan practices.
We are seeking a candidate with 3 to 5 years of administrative and managerial experience. In this dynamic role you will support the operational needs of a fast-paced orthodontic clinic to ensure optimal practice performance with the overall goal of enhancing the patient’s experience.
Qualified candidates will have a passion for coaching and mentoring others, can seamlessly manage business operations and can work through complex situations diligently and collaboratively. We are looking for someone with a fun, positive attitude, and professional demeanor to support our doctor, team, and patients. As our Practice Manager you are a team player, self-motivated, flexible, and always willing to learn.
Operational Planning & Execution
- Support with all aspects of practice administration and operations (e.g., scheduling, patient correspondence, third party services, etc.)
- Support and develop strategies and marketing initiatives to increase new patient growth.
- Support with attracting, developing, retaining, and onboarding team members.
- Ensure exceptional patient care and promptly resolving patient inquiries as they arise.
- Constantly review clinic environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement to provide coaching and direction to the team.
Leadership
- Lead and maintain communication with the doctors and team through morning huddles, team meetings, communication boards to foster an inclusive and team-based environment.
- Provide back-up support to our administrative team, which includes answering phones/emails, scheduling patients, etc.
- Lead, coach and motivate the team to improve productivity, engagement and retention of patients.
- Drive the implementation of company policies and procedures by supporting action plans and directly motivating the team to meet operational and company objectives.

- Possess a strong aptitude for change management.

What you bring – qualifications:
- Previous managerial experience leading a team.
- Previous administrative experience.
- Passionate about coaching and mentoring others.
- Three or more years of experience in a dental/healthcare environment an asset.
- Strong aptitude for change management.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
