Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to join our steel distribution and operations team in Mississauga, Ontario. The successful candidate will support daily warehouse activities including material handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and safe operation of warehouse equipment. Experience working with steel products, heavy materials, or industrial environments is considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and store steel products and materials safely and efficiently
- Pick and prepare customer orders according to shipping schedules
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Perform receiving inspections and verify incoming shipments against packing slips
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Package and stage materials for shipment
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards
- Assist with cutting, banding, or processing steel materials as required
- Follow company procedures, workplace safety policies, and Ontario health and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, production, and logistics teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1–3 years of warehouse or industrial experience preferred
- Experience in steel, metal, manufacturing, or construction industries is an asset
- Forklift certification preferred
- Overhead crane experience is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and inventory tracking abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Working Conditions

- Exposure to heavy machinery, steel materials, dust, and varying temperatures
- Standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive physical activity required
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) mandatory
