Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Machinist Supervisor to oversee machining operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, expertise in CNC programming, and leadership skills to manage a team of machinists. This role involves ensuring quality standards, maintaining safety protocols, and optimizing manufacturing processes using advanced machining techniques and tools. The Machinist Supervisor will play a critical role in driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement in our production environment.
Job Description
- 3 years and more of supervisory experience in a steel processing, Steel fabrication, or manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of:
- Steel Slitting Line Operations
- Steel Blanking Line Operations
- Steel Cut-to-Length Line Operations
- Steel Plate Shearing Operations
- Steel Bending and Press Brake Operations
- Roll Forming Operation (Light gauge and Heavy gauge Machinery)
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of machinists, machine operators, and production personnel.
- Plan, organize, and schedule daily production activities to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Monitor and oversee the operation of slitting lines, metal blanking lines, cut-to-length lines, shearing machines, and bending press equipment.
- Ensure production processes comply with company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Review production orders, and work instructions to ensure accurate processing of steel products.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate machine operators, production staff and Packaging staff
- Assign work duties and monitor employees performance to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Inspect finished products to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality.
- Troubleshoot machine operational issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.
- Ensure proper machine setup, tool changes, and production adjustments are completed efficiently.
- Maintain accurate production records, machine logs, quality reports, and employees attendance records.
- Implement and enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Investigate production delays, quality concerns, and equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate workflow between production, shipping, receiving, and quality control departments.
- Assist management in developing production schedules and improving operational efficiency.
- Recommend process improvements to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase productivity.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of production areas.
Pay: $31.79-$38.46 per hour
