Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Interventionist/ Mentor to join our team. The ideal candidate will support children with behavioral and developmental needs, providing tailored approaches and fostering positive growth. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families, working within a collaborative and supportive environment. The position involves working closely with children, families, and the consultant working with the family who will support and guide you in your work as well as multidisciplinary teams to implement effective skill building and support approaches.
Responsibilities
- Observe and record data related to childrens needs, progress and challenges.
- Support children with special education needs in various settings, including classrooms and therapy sessions, in home.
- 1:1 sessions with children mainly in their home, but as noted above can be in the community as well.
- Provide neurodivergent friendly, trauma informaed and relationship focused supports to the children on your case load.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to promote consistent behavioral support across environments - working as a team with the families NBCS consultant is a large part of this role
- Maintain accurate documentation of supports and approaches, progress notes, and other required records
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational, clinical, or therapeutic settings preferred
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavioral support approaches
- Proficient in english writing and speaking - report writing is a part of the job
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, and families
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to supporting children's developmental needs

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
