We are a busy commercial vehicle repair facility looking for a motivated and reliable Shop Helper/Parts Driver to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who have completed a Commercial Transport Mechanic Pre-Apprenticeship Program and are eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional shop environment. For the right candidate, this role may lead to a full-time position apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist technicians with daily shop tasks, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing work areas
· Pick up and deliver parts using company vehicles
· Support workflow by moving vehicles, staging jobs, and maintaining shop cleanliness
· Perform basic mechanical tasks under supervision
· Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
· Communicate effectively with technicians, service advisors, and parts staff Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications
· Completion of a Commercial Transport Mechanic Pre-Apprenticeship Program
· Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment
· Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
· Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous experience in a commercial repair environment
· Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop tools
· Strong organizational skills
