Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, experience with commercial and residential construction electrical work, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role offers opportunities to work on diverse electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and residential settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring tasks, conduit bending, and equipment setup
- Perform maintenance on existing electrical systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety
- Assist with renovation projects by upgrading or replacing outdated electrical components
- Work with low voltage systems such as security alarms or communication networks
- Program or troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as needed for automation processes
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes during project execution
- Collaborate with construction teams and other trades to ensure seamless project completion
Requirements
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably with industrial electrician background
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and conduit bending equipment
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical systems
- Familiarity with low voltage wiring and PLC programming or troubleshooting is a plus
- Handyman experience is advantageous for versatile troubleshooting skills
- Ability to interpret schematics accurately and work independently or as part of a team
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in high-pressure environments
