- Assist with recruiting, selecting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees; prepare necessary documents for personnel files.

Advise managers on the interpretation and application of company policies, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and local employment laws, including matters related to but not limited to labour relations, employee relations and health & safety.

Place employees on LOA’s related protected leaves and workplace accidents.

Handle administrative follow-up for CNESST/WSIB files.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor law, legislative changes, or any event/topic impacting the company and occupational health and safety.

Advise District Managers on interpreting and administering the Quebec collective agreement and the Ontario collective agreement when required.

Advise District Managers on disciplinary measures when required.

Manage and process grievances related to the Quebec collective agreement with the assistance of the AHRM.

Represent the company on various committees including H&S.

Build relationships at all management levels and with third parties.

Handle complex and sensitive employment and labor-related cases.

Foster positive, beneficial, and harmonious labor relations with the Quebec union and develop, recommend, and implement strategies and processes to achieve this goal.

Organize, create, and distribute weekly, biweekly, and monthly reports as required.

Manage HR administrative processes across the employee lifecycle, including processing new hires, job changes, transfers, and terminations within HR systems.

Administer employee medical and group benefits enrollment throughout the employee lifecycle, including new hires, promotions, and terminations.

Perform other tasks and projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
