ALL IN: The 2025-2029 Lambton College Strategic Plan
Specific Accountabilities:
- Prepare and present classes in both classroom and lab settings;
- Organize and supervise practical assignments;
- Creating a positive teaching and learning environment;
- Preparing lesson plans and providing instruction using a variety of teaching techniques and current technologies that enhance student success;
- Delivering courses in accordance with curriculum standards;
- Preparing, administering, and grading assignments, quizzes, research papers and examinations in a timely manner;
- Monitoring student performance, maintains progress reports and encouraging their success;
- Consulting with colleagues as required;
- Follow the Academic Calendar and other policies and procedures.
About the Position:
Lambton College of Applied Arts & Technology invites applications from qualified and passionate individuals interested in teaching welding courses on a part-time basis for the Apprenticeship & Trades Training Division.

The incumbent could be expected to teach in the following programs: Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician.
The incumbent reports to the Interim Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science, Engineering Technology and Trades. Salary range for this position is as per the Academic Collective Agreement and will be determined at the point of hire based on our internal classification form.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Red Seal Trade Certificate of Qualification (CofQ) as a Metal Fabricator (437A) or Welder (456A)
- Current and valid certifications in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), semi-automatic, and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
- Must have a minimum of ten years related hands on industry experience using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, MCAW, GTAW, OFW, SAW, OAC, PAC, etc
- A Welding Technology diploma or relevant post-secondary training in the welding and metal fabrication field is preferred
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level would be an asset
