Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced AZ Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while managing your own vehicle. As an AZ Driver, you will have the flexibility to operate independently while ensuring high standards of service and compliance with all regulations.
Duties
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport freight to various locations in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Manage logistics including route planning and scheduling deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to optimize delivery processes.
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
- Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely when loading or unloading freight (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of commercial AZ vehicle driving experience required and we will require LOE's from previous employers and insurers.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid ODL (Ontario Driver's License).
- Experience in freight transportation and logistics management is preferred.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is advantageous.
- Skills in automotive repair are a plus to ensure vehicle upkeep.
- Previous experience operating forklifts is beneficial for loading and unloading tasks.
