POSITION OVERVIEW
Mountview Services Inc. is seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Crew Member to join our team. This individual will be responsible for lawn mowing duties during the growing season and snow removal tasks in the winter months. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and motivated team player who can operate various landscaping equipment and ensure a high level of service throughout the year.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Landscape Crew Member your Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited toKey Responsibilities
Lawn Care and Lawn Maintenance
- Report to the Crew Lead and follow daily instructions.
- Conduct routine pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper safety and functionality before use.
- Mow lawns according to established schedules and follow specific patterns to ensure an efficient, uniform appearance.
- Identify and remove weeds from landscape beds and gardens using hand tools or weed control products to maintain a tidy and healthy landscape.
- Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, and other vegetation according to planting plans and spacing guidelines, ensuring proper care for healthy growth.
- Apply mulch to landscape beds to retain moisture, suppress weeds, and improve the overall aesthetic of the landscape.
- Prune and trim plants, shrubs, and trees to promote healthy growth, improve appearance, and remove dead or diseased branches.
- Assist with installation and takedown of seasonal holiday lighting and décor
- Address any equipment malfunctions or breakdowns and report them to supervisors for timely repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Winter Responsibilities:
- Assist with snow removal operations, including shoveling, salting, and using snow removal equipment (snow blowers, plows).
- Clear pathways, driveways, walkways, and other areas of snow and ice to ensure the safety of clients during winter months.
- Ensure all winter equipment is properly maintained and perform routine checks for safety and efficiency.
- Monitor weather conditions and work with the team to respond to changing weather needs.
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures, especially when working in challenging winter conditions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in landscaping or snow removal is preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain lawn care and snow removal equipment safely.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Dedication to safety and quality standards.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
