Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Confined Space Rescue Technician to join our safety and emergency response team. This critical role involves performing rescue operations in confined spaces, ensuring the safety of personnel during hazardous situations. Duties
- Conduct rescue operations in confined spaces, including entry, retrieval, and evacuation of personnel.
- Assess hazardous conditions within confined environments and implement appropriate safety measures.
- Operate specialized rescue equipment such as harnesses, ropes, and breathing apparatuses.
- Lead rescue teams during emergency situations, coordinating efforts efficiently and effectively.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance of rescue gear to ensure readiness at all times.
- Develop and participate in safety drills and training exercises to maintain team preparedness.
- Document rescue procedures, incidents, and safety compliance reports accurately.
- Collaborate with site management to develop rescue plans tailored to specific confined space environments.
Experience
- Proven experience in confined space rescue operations or related emergency response roles.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide teams during critical incidents.
- Strong background in emergency management, including risk assessment and crisis response.
- Certification in confined space rescue, first aid, CPR, or other relevant safety training is preferred.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions while maintaining professionalism and focus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members and other emergency services. This role is essential for maintaining a safe working environment in industries where confined spaces pose potential hazards. Candidates must be committed to safety excellence, capable of leading rescue efforts, and prepared to respond swiftly during emergencies.
Certification:
1. NFPA 1006 confined space rescue as well as confined space entry and monitoring. To work in a hybrid environment.
Shift timing and details:
Sat - 12 hours (7AM to 7:30PM)
Sun - 12 hours (7AM to 7.30PM)
Tue - Potentially 12 hours (7AM to 7:30PM)
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
