The Early Learning and Child Development and Human Resources Administrative Assistant assists with the day-to-day operations of the administration, Early Learning and human resources functions and duties. The Early Learning and Child Development and Human Resources Administrative Assistant supports the work of leadership and Early Learning staff, as well as in human resources in the following functional areas: recruitment, employee relations, training and development, compensation, and employment.
The Early Learning and Child Development and Human Resources Administrative Assistant will portray a positive attitude, act as a role model to staff and communicate responsibly, professionally and objectively. The Administrative and Human Resources Assistant will ensure that all services provided are within the context of KW Habilitation’s philosophy, policies and procedures and that they are consistent with legislative requirements.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Early Learning and Child Development team, including coordinating meetings, managing communications, and maintaining office operations.
- Support program administration by maintaining records, tracking required documentation, and assisting staff with resources and materials.
- Manage data entry and electronic record systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date client and program information.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Assist with onboarding and hiring processes by preparing employment documentation and tracking pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain employee records and support compliance by monitoring documentation and employment eligibility requirements.
- Administer HR systems, employee files, training records, and other human resources databases and processes.
- Provide professional reception, customer service, and general administrative support to staff, applicants, families, and community partners.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Administration/Human Resources
- Working towards CHRP designation an asset
- 2 years relevant experience
- Strong computer skills including demonstrated expertise using Windows operating system, spreadsheets, word processing programs, and databases
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure, be adaptable and flexible
- Ability to work independently as well as a good team player

Schedule: 40 hours per week, 9am-5pm (some flexibility required)
Start Date: September 8, 2026
Rate of Pay: $50,469 – $56,076, includes benefits and pension
