Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Plumber / Gas Fitter to join our growing team in Duncan, BC. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality results on every job. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including plumbing, heating, and gas fitting installations, repairs, and maintenance. HVAC experience is considered a strong asset, and travel throughout Vancouver Island and surrounding areas is required.

Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and gas systems
- Service and install hot water tanks, boilers, furnaces, and heating systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing and gas issues
- Ensure work complies with BC plumbing and gas codes, safety standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with apprentices and team members to complete projects efficiently
- Travel to job sites across Vancouver Island and surrounding areas
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition
- Provide excellent customer service and represent HART Mechanical Services with professionalism

Qualifications
- Registered Apprenticeship in Plumbing/Gas
- Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of plumbing and gas codes and regulations
- HVAC experience considered a strong asset
- Willingness and ability to travel for work assignments
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Experience with residential and/or commercial systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
