Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals with disabilities, seniors, and patients in various care settings, including home care, and hospice care. Your primary goal will be to enhance the quality of life for those you support by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada; sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide support for individuals with disabilities and seniors in their homes or care facilities.
- Aid in meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Provide clients with medication reminders.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications
- Must be a certified PSW from Canada
- Experience in caregiving, patient care, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or senior care is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as needed.
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and dietary requirements for various health conditions.
- Previous experience in nursing homes or hospice care settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanour are essential for building rapport with clients.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed.
- Multilingual skills are an advantage.

Pay: $20.50-$23.00 per hour
