Job Title: Organizational Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement Specialist
Position Summary
The AJISS Program is seeking an experienced and collaborative Organizational Change Management (OCM) & Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Reporting to the OCM Lead, this role will play a key part in driving successful organizational change by developing impactful communications, engaging stakeholders, and supporting change adoption across strategic programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating targeted communication strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, and readiness initiatives that enable employees and leaders to effectively navigate organizational, process, and technology changes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this individual will ensure messaging is clear, timely, and aligned throughout the change lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational Change Management
- Support the development and execution of change management strategies aligned with program objectives and business priorities.
- Assist in conducting change impact assessments to evaluate the effects of initiatives on people, processes, and organizational structures.
- Coordinate and support change management activities across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Contribute to organizational readiness planning and change adoption activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
- Conduct stakeholder analyses and develop engagement strategies to support transformation initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and execute OCM engagement and communication plans.
- Create targeted messaging and communication campaigns that support change objectives and foster stakeholder buy-in.
- Translate complex program information into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate communications.
- Collaborate with project teams and leadership to ensure consistent and effective messaging throughout the organization.
Content Development
- Design and develop communication materials, including newsletters, presentations, town hall content, digital communications, and leadership messaging.
- Support the delivery of communication campaigns that promote awareness, transparency, and engagement.
- Ensure all communications comply with organizational policies, security requirements, and data sensitivity guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement Activities
- Develop stakeholder maps, communication matrices, and RACI frameworks.
- Coordinate workshops, feedback sessions, change champion networks, and engagement events.
- Identify stakeholder concerns, communication needs, and potential areas of resistance.
- Monitor employee sentiment and feedback to inform engagement strategies and improve change adoption.
Program Coordination & Support
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement and communication activities across multiple transformation initiatives.
- Maintain communication schedules, engagement calendars, and related program documentation.
- Support alignment and consistency of messaging across program workstreams.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and evaluate communication and engagement effectiveness using metrics, surveys, and stakeholder feedback.
- Leverage data analytics tools to assess change readiness and adoption levels.
- Identify opportunities to enhance communication strategies, messaging, channels, and stakeholder engagement approaches.
- Facilitate focus groups, workshops, and post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting organizational change management, internal communications, stakeholder engagement, or business transformation initiatives.
- Professional certification in Change Management (Prosci, CCMP, APMG, or equivalent).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong editing and storytelling abilities.
- Proven ability to simplify complex information and create engaging communications for diverse audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and navigate resistance in a change environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and feedback into actionable recommendations.
- Experience working with collaboration and communication platforms such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs within aerospace, defense, technology, engineering, or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of change management methodologies and best practices.
- Experience working within complex, matrixed, or global organizations.
- Understanding of information security and compliance requirements related to organizational communications.
Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour
