Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, pricing strategies, and project management principles to deliver competitive bids and support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and analyze material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate terms.
- Develop accurate pricing strategies that align with project scope and budget constraints.
- Assist in bid preparation, ensuring all aspects of the project are accurately represented.
- Monitor market trends and update estimating databases to maintain competitive advantage.
- Support project management teams throughout the project lifecycle by providing cost analysis and forecasting.
Skills
- Experience with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Solid understanding of pricing strategies within the construction industry.
