Essential Functions:
- Accountable for the health and safety of employees and ensure compliance with all established Health & Safety rules/regulations and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Accountable for manufacturing metrics for their shift.
- Manage shop floor performance
- Conduct required audits as necessary – SOP, safety, 5S, Process etc.
- Conduct regular employee communication meetings on shift.
- Track training for all hourly employees on shift
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process and quality system. Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify the implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
- Ensure production flow of processes by reducing/eliminating bottlenecks on a shift-by-shift basis.
- Ensure shift is properly staffed by qualified employees. Work with Gate House Attendant regarding any absent employees and open positions on shift.
- Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications Required:
- Education of high school diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of direct supervision experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a continuous production setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications Desired:
- Technical knowledge: Understanding manufacturing technologies, machinery, and production processes.
