SAF-HOLLAND Canada Limited is a leading international manufacturer and supplier of premium product systems and components for the global commercial vehicle industry. The product range includes axle and suspension systems, fifth wheels, couplers, kingpins, landing gear legs, air brake adjusters, valves, ABS, actuators and trailer CPU’s.
We are seeking to fill a current vacancy for the following full-time salaried position at our Woodstock facility:
Industrial Engineering Specialist
Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager/designate, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and reducing operational costs to support overall operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility is an asset, as is prior project management experience.
In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement, optimize manufacturing processes, and conduct workflow and capacity analyses. Utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, you will lead cost-saving and waste-reduction initiatives while designing efficient plant layouts, monitoring KPIs, and supporting the implementation of new automation technologies. You will develop and analyze time and motion studies to understand how tasks are completed to improve worker efficiency and establish production standards, while also improving ergonomics and safety in workspaces tominimize human fatigue, prevent injuries, and comply with safety regulations
We are looking for strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with engineering and data analysis tools (such as AutoCAD and Minitab) is required. Previous experience with SAP, ERP, or WMS systems would be a significant asset.
